TPL produces Chlorine using a chlor-alkali process.

TPL’s process involves the electrolysis of aqueous sodium chloride (brine) in a membrane cell.

Byproducts from this process include Hydrogen and chlorine derivatives such as Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Hypo Chlorite and Ammonium Chloride. The Ammonium Chloride produced is of high quality and is suitable for use in dry cell battery manufacture.
